Shacara N. Delgado is senior vice president, employment law and chief ethics and compliance officer at Anywhere Real Estate Inc., headquartered in Madison, New Jersey. She leads the company’s global Ethics & Compliance Program as well as enterprise Employment, Benefits and Contractor Relations legal matters relating to the Company’s 9000+ employees and 40,000+ independently affiliated real estate agents.
Ms. Delgado manages teams focused on identifying, preventing and mitigating company legal and compliance risks. She advises executive and senior leadership on all aspects of legal employment, compliance, compensation and benefits matters. She also serves as the company’s HIPAA Privacy Officer and as Secretary of the Employment Benefits Committee.
Prior to joining Anywhere (formerly Realogy Holdings Corp.), Ms. Delgado was an employment and commercial litigation attorney in various private law firms located in New York City and New Jersey. She is admitted to practice law before New York and New Jersey federal and state courts.
Ms. Delgado is a current member of Chief and the Executive Leadership Council. From 2019-2023, Ms. Delgado served on the Board of Executive Women of New Jersey as its Governance Committee Chair. She also served as a Trustee for Tri-County Scholarship Fund from 2017-2021. She was recognized by Executive Women of New Jersey’s during the 2022 Salute to the Policy Makers Gala as one of New Jersey’s most accomplished women leaders in business, government, and academia. In 2019 and 2016, Ms. Delgado was named among the Top Influential Women in Corporate America by Savoy magazine. In 2017, Ms. Delgado received the distinguished Woman of Achievement Award from Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey. In 2016, she was named among the list of 25 Influential Black Women in Business by The Network Journal magazine.
Ms. Delgado is a member of the FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association of New Jersey. She is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated (an international public service organization), and serves as a Lead Teen Advisor for Jack and Jill of America in the Morris County Chapter.
Ms. Delgado received her JD degree from Rutgers School of Law in Newark, New Jersey. She earned her BA degree in English at Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey.
