Anywhere recently hosted a powerful Juneteenth celebration in collaboration with the African American & Caribbean Employee Resource Group (ACE). The theme was “Honoring Resilience and Building Generational Wealth through Homeownership” and spotlighted the pivotal role of Black homeownership in creating generational wealth and featured inspiring segments.

At the Madison Hub, both virtual and in-person attendees—including employees and students from the Griffin Bridges Program—gathered to commemorate this significant occasion. Queenella Gibson, from Coldwell Banker Realty, set the tone by singing the Black National Anthem to set the tone for the event.

Andrew Kent, the program director of the Griffin Bridges Program at Seton Hall Preparatory School, emphasized the importance of instilling strong principles in students to foster thriving environments. The students also showcased their artistic talents, reading Kristina Kay’s poem “We Rose.”

Anywhere President & CEO Ryan Schneider, and Chief People Officer, Tanya Reu-Narvaez, delivered keynote remarks, highlighting the vital connection between inclusion and Black homeownership. Additionally, Lydia (Flagg) Sanchez and her Black-owned brokerage, Queen City Realty, received well-deserved recognition for their 40+-year commitment to diversity in housing. She and her family’s achievements were recognized by ERA leaders, including President Alex Vidal, Regional Vice President of Franchise Sales Doug Lucas, and Senior Vice President Frank Malpica.

Regine Thomas, a broker and sales associate at Coldwell Banker Realty, represented the New Jersey Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Network. She joined Corey Fowler in discussing NAREB’s mission and the significance of diversity in real estate.

NAREB’s ongoing Building Black Wealth tour educates communities nationwide on the wealth-building potential of homeownership, probate avoidance, and financial freedom.

Overall, the event reaffirmed the company’s dedication to supporting Black homeownership and fostering an inclusive culture year-round.
